code 34
85 iroc-z tpi F Fuel injected. I used to have code 33 and 34 related to Maf readings. When sitting at a stop light for prolonged period of time the service light would come on and then idle like crap. I'm not sure if the idle drops right before it goes to ecm or after. I got a maf from autozone and put it in. The car wouldnt even run. I returned it and got a bosch from napa. The car runs and almost felt like it ran better. After a long drive the light came on again. The codes i pulled out were 33, 34, 24 (VSS). These codes could have been very old so i reset and drove again to get a 34 aka low reading. The weird thing is this happens at very low idle not at above 2000rpm like manuals suggest testing for. Whats do you guys think?

Re: code 34
I think there is a different code for the burn off relay. But i guess I'll try the test on it. Lots of people keep telling me to get a different O2 sensor. I didn't think that was part of the logic for creating a MAF code 34 to come up though.

Re: code 34
sometimes the car will throw false codes, in this case its a series of codes that on their own may not be true but put them together and theyll have a similar meaning, thats just from experience tho, and the reason i said to check the relay is because when we rebuilt my buddy's 89 GTA he had the same things pop up, swapped the relay and viola
good luck
