ah crap here we go again
symptoms are found a oily puddle by the right front tire this morning. car started fine but the heater was blowing cold air even with the temp gage (aftermarket mechanical unit) fluxuating between 210 to 240ish. oil pressure was good so i know i wasnt loosing oil. trans didnt seem to be slipping didnt smell any burning or hear any ticking knocking or pinging, temp is cold enough to freeze. only thing i dont remember is if i put anti freeze or just water in the radiator. any suggestions?

The blowing cold air all the time is the thermostat has popped. By "oily" puddle what do you mean, motor oil? Reddish oil? or Yellowy snot but not as thick as motor oil?
I'm thinking a hose or rad leak, if I remember right - the front right has a hose going into the rad at the bottom. I was going to say water pump leak but that is pretty much front and center. And you'll want to get the usual mix of antifreeze in there if you are unsure - especially since temps are near freezing like you said.

yea I'd say thermostat is stuck open, car wonr get upto temp or blow hot air, as far as oil puddle wounds like just a leak somewere.

well thermos wasnt stuck and i noticed there was barely any coolant in it. the pass floor was dry so heater core is fine. oil was full so that wasnt leaking. trans fluid is good so thats not leaking. all other fluids are good but coolant. i couldnt tell if my water pump was bad but it shouldnt be its rather new.

sure did. all hoses are good i didnt see any leaks on any of them except for the lower rad hose. looks like the water pump pissed on it. which is confusing cause it was new with the engine not to long ago. the rad was also over half empty. im going to throw some coolant in it tomorrow and see what happens. will post results later.

well i started pouring coolant into the radiator got about half a gallon in and guess what i see. my cars pissing all over the ground so i spanked it said no bad car and but a diaper on it end of story..... nah really it looked like it was coming out of the waterpump so i felt for any wetness under it and it was dry so then i checked out the gaskets and i noticed some coolant welling up on the passenger side gasket. it was leaking there and dripping down the timing cover and a pretty good rate. dont know how that happened so im going to replace the gaskets and see if that solves my problem.
