NEED STOCK CAM SPECS
i need the stock cam specs for my 85 firebird has a 305 engine with a 5 speed transmission.....no trans am just the basic firebird.....my buddy is in need of a working 700r4 too if any one can get at me with that....

TPI? 4bbl std, or 4bbl HO? All used different cams.

The LG4 cam specs are impossibly tiny. 178/194 duration at .050", .350/.385" lift, IDK the LSA. Why not get something slightly better? You can do a little better without hurting anything. Wouldn't even need any tuning or any parts changes, beyond new lifters, a new timing chain, and a cam change gasket set.

yea thats wat im tryin to do...get a bigger cam installed without changin my valvesprings.....i have roller tip rockers new lifters and 7.900" pushrods w/ guides.....jus need a cam

springs are a wear item. All you need to change them is a $20 tool you can get at your local NAPA. springs are $26, plus a small s&h charge, and you can do the valve seals while you're at it for another $16 or less.
For springs, try www.competitionproducts.com, part # 98111.
for a cam, I'd use a Summit K-1101, with or without new springs.
