Car: '91 Base model & '91 Trans Am
Engine: 3.4L & Gen1 SBC 350
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.73 and 3.42
No get up and go
My motor is a Gen 1 SBC 350, Edelbrock carburated, 700r4 tranny.
This car has no "get up and go" so I spent yesterday setting my detent cable and throttle cable, and they are set properly now. It's still "get up and go... slowly".
Where should I be looking for this massive power loss?
*notes*
*Straight piped, No cat
*Needs exhaust manifold gasket
*When tranny shifts, sounds good, no hard or mushy shifting
*When accelerator is fully depressed, throttle arm properly positioned at fully open
-Additional notes-
-Just had timing fixed, that helped alot, and carb retuned, also helped a little-
-Now first gear is nice and mean, but everything after that is still feels as though i have a 2.42 rear gear ( I don't i have a 3.73)
**I know D*** about cars and working on them with the exception of what I've learned owning 3 old birds.
