I have a quick question and i am not sure where to get the answer from
My question is i currently have a V belt system in my 84 Camaro and when i will be doing my engine swap i am converting to serpentine setup.
Do i have to get it approve by someone at the DMV or can i do my smog test without any problems.
I do have everything on the sepentine but i want to make sure i will not have any problems in the future because of it.
Also i live in California

I honestly don't think you'll get any problems at the Smog station. When they look under the hood, they are just making sure you have all your emissions devices installed and working.

 

You're good if it's there and working. So Cali tests everything huh? Here in RI 25 yrs old and after no longer gets tested for emissions.

Also we use to have a 30 year law when a car turns 30 years we don't do anymore emission test but sadly the law was remove and now we have to do emission testing
