Auxillary Fuel Pump
Does an 89 Camaro RS 305 tbi have an auxillary fuel pump responsible for giving the engine gas when starting? I can only start my car by pouring fuel in the intake but once it starts it runs great. Stumped any suggestions r appreciated

The in tank pump gets primed for a couple of secs by the ECM, it energized the FP relay. Check if your relay is working. Once it's running the oil pressure switch provides 12V even with a dead relay.

Listen if it clicks when you turn the key on. It should to prime pump. To try again, turn ign off wait about 15 secs and turn ign on again for another prime.
