My car was leaking antifreeze really bad and I noticed when I accelerated it squirted out of a hose. I found the leak, but I have no idea what the part is that needs replaced. It sits beside my coolant tank and below the all the air conditioner stuff. It has 3 hoses about the side of a quarter that attaches to it. One of the hoses appears to go into the water pump (i think) and the other 2 go down underneath and I couldnt clearly tell, but I think they go into the engine. It definitely has something to do with my coolant system. I have found 2 different engine pictures where i have circled where the lil gadget is and one of the pictures has the actual black peice that I need to replace circled. I need my car back as soon as possible so if you can help please do!!

looks like the high side a/c hose. is that what you're talking about? you have a tpi in one pic and a tbi in the other...???

 

CAN YOU SAY HEATER CONTROL VALVE cost about $ 25 diverts coolant to the heater core

 

i have two more pics of it....one is of the actual piece after it broke in 2 places and i pulled it out of my car and the other is a pic of it located in my car.

heater diverter valve . common problem . easy cheap fix . good luck .
