fuel pressure

i recently changed my 92 tbi car into carb i plan on running the intank pump.i was told the in tank pump will put out 15 psi i have a regulator that is adjustable from 4.5 to 10 psi do i have to run a return line or not if i dont will it make the pump overheat im not sure if it is a system that charges the line than shuts down till it needs pressure again or if it is constant run when key is in the on position. i do have a second regulator for return line they are both dual out single in. my plan if needed was to run one set at 6 psi to carb than second outlet port to second regulator set at 4 psi than out of that to return line that way my carb gets more psi than return line so its not just dumping my fuel back to my tank causing no psi at carb. does this sound like it will work? or does it sound like im going overboard?lol. can any one help getting confused?
