305 starter

my starters on its last legs and need to order a new one. Dont know what the bolt pattern is though.

As i have no brace atm, dont know where exactly the starter is, and really dont trust the jack not to collapse and crush me under my ta, i cant check what bolt pattern i need.

Anyone able to point me to where it is and suggest a easy way of finding what bolt pattern it is without risking my arm?

car is a 86 ta with a 305tpi if that helps.

cheers folks

All '86 305 'Birds and Camaro automatics used the same starter. Get one listed for your car, and it should be the right one.

Use ramps or jack stands while working under the car.
