normal problem...?

Ok guys I have a '90 RS 305, you know, and there a few things that are acting up. When I'm driving it doesn't decelerate as fast as it should when I let off the gas, when I stop it idles at around 400-500rpm, it smells like there is unburned fuel and the temp is running around 220ish.

I had a friend tell me I need to replace an:
O2 sensor
plugs
thermostat
and throttle position sensor

I changed the O2 sensor and plugs early this year, He told me this yesterday, is he right in his assumptions or is there something else he missed?

thanks Tim

TPS should be setting a trouble code. Is the SES light coming on?

O2 sensor may not set a trouble code. Often when weak they will tell the computer to richen the mixture when it doesn't need to be, without setting a trouble code.

Is it running rough or smooth?

The radiator fan doesn't come on until 238 degrees F, so 220 isn't a problem unto itself. Doesn't hurt to periodically flush the cooling system and replace the thermostat, though.
