Is the motor a 1 piece rear main seal or a 2 piece? If the block is a one piece and has the bosses in the lifter valley to accept the hold down pieces, then you can just try to find those factory pieces and use them. If your block is like mine, which was a 1 piece seal block but does not have the bosses drilled or tapped, you will need to either drill and tap the holes, or get retro-fit lifters for a late model block. These are normally a decent amount more expensive than ones made for earlier blocks. If you have a 2 piece rear main block, then you will need the retro-fit lifters.
The timing chain cover doesnt have to be replaced, but you do need to run a cam button in front of the cam inbetween the cam and the cover. You will need to make sure you have propper clearance here. I would run a double roller chain.
Pushrods I'm not sure on. You could always buy an adjustable pushrod and then measure for your motor. This is what I did.

Re: Need help with roller cam conversion
1. That cam will work, with LT4 style retainers https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tbi/...ml#post3089487
2. depends if your block is machined for the "Lifter Link Bars" http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-150121/
3. If you can use the cam retaining plate, there is no need for a special timing cover.
4. For the LT1 cam you dont really need a double chain. This will do its duty nice http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NA...1043/?rtype=10 and it comes with 2 types of cam retaining plate.
5. Vortec cam has a little less lift then a LT1 cam, best is to investigate what lift the springs on the heads support.
6. Probaly the same as the L31 engines, best is to measure with someting like this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFS-9000/

Re: Need help with roller cam conversion
Yes thats a roller block. Stock type roller lifters, spider, lifter link bars and cam retaining plate is all you need.
Pushroad lengt can change, depending on heads, rockers and maybe lifters?
