Heres the scenario...
I am getting my car back on the road after almost 5 years.
I took it out for a testdrive today, and when I push the clutch in, with my foot off the throttle, like when Im coming to a stop sign, the car dies..
I try to restart the car several times before it will start and idle again...

there are no trouble codes, check engine light is not on...

idle is sometime erratic, between 600-800 rpm, but sometimes it idles steady about 800, but its erratic more thn it isnt. I have already checked for vacuum leaks and found none.
Its almost as is when I'm letting off the gas, its not getting enough air to idle...
The IAC is the only sensor I have not replaced on the car.
I have tried adjusting it several times..
I did take it out of the TB to clean it. I'm not sure if I reinstalled it correctly.

 

sounds similar to my situation.so far mine has some of the same symtoms as yours but more so after i shut her off and try starting again.from what i hear it is quite likely a leaky injector or 2 causing flooding.starting is hard and rough rpm's jumping like yours.if you get to yours before me let me know how you make out

 

thats definitely a possability, but I should point out my injectors are new 19# Bosch III's from John @ FIC...

 

that puts a little twist in things.not so likely if there new but possible.

 

update: replaced the IAC today, car now idles fine and doesnt stall, but the idle still hunts a little...

I knew the IAC was original, and I figured $28 was worth it to just replace it..
