who sells a good starter?
who sells a good starter?
ever since my stock starter went out I cannot find anywhere that has a starter that doesn't get heat soaked and leaves me stranded until it cools off enough to turn over the engine.
it's starting to **** me off. I thought about a heat shield/blanket but I'm wondering if they actually work.

A heat shield will help somewhat. Try getting an LT1 starter next time, they work better in high-heat, high-compression situations.

the way I have my starter connected is with an old ford starter remote solenoid ... I think it is... never again did I have heat soak problems...
