What would happen if I put a pair of 350 vortech heads from a 87 on my 74 350?

Re: 350 vortech heads?

let me tell you, depends on what you want either way expect more power....depending on heads you have now.... i have a 91 camaro with a 68-79 block 3970010 5.7 350 im running vortecs but also my 350 is a 383, runnig in the 11's on pump gas, 11:1 cr on this motor, with lunati 290/300 cam.... strokeing that block you have is cheap and easy and considering that block is got a very high nickel content and was seasoned from the factory to begin with its a great platform for big power and long life....I love mine....

Re: 350 vortech heads?

If they are really from a 1987 engine, they are not Vortecs even though they may have centerbolt valve covers. What are the casting numbers?
