HELP!!!

i recently bought an 87 camaro. its got a 2.8 v6 and its a stick. i bought it for 500 and it didnt run. i was trying to figure out why and when i was observing the distributer i noticed it turned. so i immediatly thought it was timing. i got it running every now and then and i tried to time it. it wouldnt stay in time. it would always go like 5 degrees more then what i set it to. i came to find out that the calpak was removed in the ecu. i went to a junkyard and i got a new brain and threw it in. it started up and sounded ok. it popped when i was accelerating. so i tried fine tuning the timing to get it better and nothing happend. i moved chips around onto the old remanufactured brain and the car didnt start. so i swapped it back to the junkyard one and the car still didnt start. i eventually got it running but the check engine light stays on and it says something with the throttle position sensor. but i also saw that it may also be the ecu. anywho. the car now starts then dies. and when it runs, when i press the gas the engine boggs down and almost dies and pops and pings but when i let go of the gas the rpms jolt up again. when the car was running it would stay at 2500 rpm's. idk whats goin on with this car but i also found under the hood there is a black and pink(?) could be faded white wire thats spliced and also the pink wire thats connected to the ignition coil is severed. i cant find the other half of the wire. so for the hell of it i connected those two wires. the blk/pink wire is right near the pink ignition coil wire and it runs into a big wrap of wires.. can anyone help me sort this damn thing out? il take pictures and show if anyone can tell me just how i can upload them lol. i dont know how to do anything on this site..

Re: HELP!!!

maybe a worn/stretched timing chain set. you can pull the dist. cap then turn the crank back and forth and see if the rotor follows.

Re: HELP!!!

the rotor rotates. i found that out because i had to turn the crankshaft and see where the rotor was to see if it was on compression or exhaust stroke.
