Fuel pressure gauge--best place to install?

hey guys,

I got a new fuel pump for my T/A that pushes out right about 8PSI without touching it for my 84 T/A and it's 350. I then went and got a mallory fuel regulator and fuel pressure guage with the 1/8NPT fitting on it as well as a log to mount it to. is it better to mount the gauge in the regulator or inline with the fuel line using the gauge adapter after the regulator? I would t hink I'd want to see the pressure as it goes into the carb as opposed to what's "in the regulator" but I could be way off base. Any thoughts? Thanks!

The pressure at the main body of the regulator is going to be the same as what's getting put into the carb. You can place the pressure gauge off the main body of the regulator just fine.
