Need help... no start when hot, but will crank
Hi all... when I try to start my camaro while the engine is hot the car cranks but refuses to fire up. I'm thinking it might be the injectors refusing to fire but I'm not really sure. I've been chasing this problem for awhile now and really need a reliable car soon.
Things tested:
-Confirmed spark to plugs using a timing light
-Confirmed constant 40ish PSI to fuel rail while priming and cranking
-Ohm'd all injectors both cold and hot, they show a consistent 16.8
-Will start with starter fluid in throttle body while hot
Things replaced:
-Ignition coil
-Entire distributor (includes new pickup coil, icm, cap, rotor)
-spark plugs
I'm not sure where to go or what to test from here.... I would assume something with the ECM and wiring to the injectors? Any help would be appreciated

Just to close this thread in case someone else has similar problems... the reman distributor I purchased from autozone had a dying ICM. One new Ignition Control Module (and a TPS adjustment) later and she fired up and ran every time, cold or hot. Drove me crazy trying to find out what could be broken after testing what felt like EVERYTHING!
long story short... don't always trust new parts from chain auto stores.

When yours acted up, did it seem like it wasn't fueling enough when cranking? Mine has the exact symptoms as yours did.

I TOLD YOU IT WAS THE ICM... ...
... j/k... but most of the ignition problems are ICM related... a few require a new pickup coil aka camshaft sensor.. Thread
