header install, no start now
header install, no start now
I did a header install, removed a.i.r, and ac removal on a 1992 z28. I starting up the car and let it warm up fully so i could retighten the header bolts when they cooled back down. so everything ran fine for 20 min. after i tried to restart the car nothing. i have crank but no start. one of our techs looked at some things and found no spark and no injector pulse width. he had me check the ecu fuse and it was ok. we looked at some things with the distributor and found the ignition control module had some corossion plus it was original and notorious for going bad. replaced and still no change. i might try the coil next. i dont' want to keep just throwing parts at it. any help would be apprecitated. sorry for my spelling lol.

by coil do you mean pick-up coil? how does it look? you can ohm both. i don't remember what they're supposed to be off hand.

Check your grounds(on the back of the heads) and also make sure you have a constant 12v to the pink wire going to the ignition coil with your key in the "on" position. Also make sure that all of the wiring going to your starter is correct.

Re: header install, no start now
Does it start up once the car is cooled down? If so, then it could be the heat soak with the starter. I am suffering from the same problem if that is the case. If it is heat soak, buy a mini-starter or a LT1 starter and put some heat wrap on it.
