Is this exhaust note a stock cam?!?

my says no. Its ither a 350 or a 383. Ive never drivin it because the trans is out of it. the guy who built the engine is long gone and the guy who had it built just forked over the $$ at the builders will. he thought the cam was stock. I DONT HAVE THE TOOLS TO MEASURE.With that being said. It doesnt make since to me to pay for Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, Proform roller rockers, full MSD ignition, and an Edelbrock Pro-Flo Injection system. I know its a flat tappet because i could see it when i removed the valve covers. so lemme know what yall think the rough guestamates on size is.

Re: Is this exhaust note a stock cam?!?

I would concur with you that it is not a stock cam. That idle sounds a little more rough than stock would. As to the size, without any data on the cam or proper tools to check, it's anybody's guess, but I would say probably about a 268 duration. Just a swag though.

Re: Is this exhaust note a stock cam?!?

Yeah that sounds like a nice mild mid-range cam. Sounds like it might be a little bigger than my xe262...
