buick and chevy 350 distributor

are the distributors for a chevy 350 and a buick 350 the same? are they interchangable, is it possible that my timing issues come from using a buick dist. in my 350? story is i bought an accel dist on ebay a long time ago and i am trying to use it in my 350 chevy but getting odd timing charactoristics through the rpms. and if i remember correctly the listing said it was from a buick small block, but that was some years ago and i dont know for sure. if it is for a buick would it even fit my chevy?

re: buick and chevy 350 distributor

some buick/olds had chevy engines. as for the genuine buick/olds they are not interchangeable.
