Fuel lines overheating?

Fuel lines overheating?
I think my fuel lines and regulator are getting so hot that the fuel is vaporizing/boiling over/expanding too much in the lines and the carb, causing a hard start condition and poor idle on a hot start. Anyone else have this problem before and how did you fix it?
I'm thinking about wrapping the lines in insulating material. I have a 180* thermostat and the underhood temps don't seem unusually high for a third gen, but it does get very hot under there. Also, I have an new electric pump so I don't think vapor lock is the issue here.
