TBI Motor question
My dad recently gave me a 1987 K10 with a 355 throttle body injected motor, I plan on putting the motor into my IROC. I started pulling the motor today, got the mounts and 1 bellhousing bolt left. My question is about the wiring. I pulled the computer out and the main part of the harness but another part of the harness runs towards the steering column... can I just use a on/off switch to power the computer? What are the other wires for, check engine light, ac idle, etc?

Re: TBI Motor question
I want to keep it TBI. I haven't finished pulling the motor out today (it was a running truck so all the parts are there). It was tuned for the work done to it and made something like 398 HP at the crank. I have a spare manifold and carb but if I do that I'm just going to change the heads and cam too.
