the best way to clean an old gas tank?
the best way to clean an old gas tank?
i'm trying to get my 87 camaro running and about to drop in a brand new motor. i emptied out the gas tank a year ago and its been sitting. i'm about to put it back in but noticed a little bit of dust in the bottom.
what would be the best way to clean it out while its still out of the car?

a method i have used on marine & other gas tanks . slop/clean/wash with soap/ rinse good with water . when fumes are gone , purge/blow out with leaf blower . when fumes are gone , ck. again . maybe do again , good luck .

New gas and 1/4- gravel. Slosh dump done. LOL
OK so if its just dust just wash it out and blow it out with air to dry.
