SHOULD THE ENGINE DIE
should the engine die if you unplug the map sensor vacuum line? with the vacuum line unplugged the car will start and then immediately die. Is this normal?

Re: SHOULD THE ENGINE DIE
I'd say that's probably normal. Have you googled what the MAP sensor is for? It's pretty damn important.

Re: SHOULD THE ENGINE DIE
i know what it does but on other sites with diffrent cars they have talked about unplugging the vacuum line and the car still idles!!! on alldata to test it, it says "unplug vacuum port, start car, then apply vacuum to whatever spec it said" i forgot. So i was just wandering surely someone has unplugged the vacuum line while the car is running or unplugged it and then tried to start the engine!!! What was the results??? Mabey someone will try it real quick. It would help me out alot and thx for any info!
