What could this be?

Hello,

My IROC has been great, runs very smooth and no driving problems...One thing wierd did happen last week though.

I had started my car to go home from work, driven about 1 kilometer, and then all of a sudden the "service engine soon" light came on, engine lost power randomly, idle RPMs dropped to just over 500 (usually idles at 650ish), I was giving it gas and the power was greatly reduced, and the idle was very rough...I could tell the car was struggling to stay alive.

I parked the car for 5 minutes, and then started it up and no problem happened, I drove it for the next week all over with no problem. No check engine light or anything.

Then it randomly happened again tonight when I was going home from work...I drove about half a kilometer and the check engine light came on and the same thing happened...Parked the car for a minute, started it and the car drove fine...

Any idea what it could be?
I have done searches and come up with a few things...
-Fuel filter
-ECU or ECM??
-MAF sensor

I have no clue what this could be. Will there still be a check engine code even though the problem isn't happening at the moment?

Thanks !

Re: What could this be?

Ok I just pulled the codes, and I'm getting code 33.

"High voltage at the MAF sensor"

This basically means a bad MAF sensor I'm guessing?
I'll get some of that spray that cleans the sensor tomorrow.
