Ok, so my car was idling really high, it was idling at 1,000 RPM and at WOT it would start to bog down. So, I decided to try to reset the IAC to see if that would fix the problem. I will be honest that I did a few of the steps out of order at first, so I started the process all over again and followed the instructions correctly this time. I had the car idling down to about 400 where it should be sounded nice and smooth so I shut it off and reconnected the IAC and unplugged my jumper wire from the ALDL and restarted the car, still idled fine. But if i touch the throttle it dies...immediately...I really just want it to run better so i can start driving it. I dont want to switch to carb because i dont have the money for the parts to do it. So if someone could tell me how to fix this mess I would really appreciate it!

Have you checked your TPS settings ?
Should do anyway after resetting IAC valve

IAC only affects idle but a bad TPS would result in the computer not knowing you have opened the throttle= bog

Thank you very much, that article you gave a link to describes the process much better than the one in the Tech Articles. I adjusted my timing very slightly and now it runs much better! Thanks again!
