wonder bar????

I have 15in tires on my 89 rs that I just put a good 700r4 in now the rims I found and bought for it are 16's do I have to have a wonder bar on it. I know it was on the Iroc's but what about the rs's 305tbi possibly 350 I haven't checked but I don't think this is the oem engine. (no racing or hard driving)

Re: wonder bar????

No car must have a wonderbar. My Formula didn't have it and it has the WS6 package even. I did add one and felt a noticeable difference right away. That being said a wonderbar will tie the front end together and help prevent stress cracking. For the cost and ease of install it's well worth it in my book.

The Wonderbar (IROC's only) is a good preventive, I think, for all cars, as fireturd suggests. Remember, however, that it was never designed as the 'performance' piece that it seems to have become in recent years.

Re: wonder bar????

thankx for the input, got another ? now my car came with the pull down motor now I don't care about the fancy pull down motor If I can get the much cheaper elect latch (no pull down) will it bolt up in the same place and work with key cylinder with no adjustment. or should I go back with OEM optioned pull down motor assembly. (ebay) $100 functional but as is. $249 rebuilt.
