Changing Fuel pump in 1982 Z-28
Changing Fuel pump in 1982 Z-28
I am looking at buying a 1982 Z-28, he said the car quit running, and thinks it is the fuel pump. How hard are these to change out? What is the procedure? Does the sending unit need changed too? Anyone with this problem, or advice is greatly appreciated!

Pretty sure the crossfire used an in-tank pump, which means you'll have to either drop your rear end and fuel tank to get at it or cut an ugly hole in your hatch. Quite a bit of work either way.

Agreed, but I strongly suggest you don't cut the access flap. Do it right and drop the tank out.
