91 350 motor question?

i have a 350 motor from a 91 chevy truck. is there a way to tell if he really put comp cam in it with out tearing down the motor?

not that i can think of. you would have to at least pull the timing cover off and maybe have some kind of indication that it is in fact a comp cam.
