new iroc, with gremlins
i bought a 89 iroc yesterday, for the most part it is unmolested. Tpi, a/c stuff is all there, factory radio, etc.
The tack is maxed out at 7k and wont move..
the oil presure guage is the same way
The voltometer only works when it wants to, and goes to zero when you turn the headlights on.
The dipstick tube is gone, so i poured an extra quart of oil in it just to be safe
any ideas on the guages? and do i have to pull the starter off to put a new dipstick tube in?

Re: new iroc, with gremlins
You might get away with just yanking it out, but you'll probably need to remove the starter to get the new one in. I'd check your grounds, starting with the battery terminal. Only sometime simple can cause that many issues haha.
After that, check all other grounds: engine to body, battery ground to body, battery to engine, etc.
