racetronix fuel pump harness for BBF carb application?
getting my ford 460 big block tmrw, and figuring everything out to get it running, car was originally a 383 HSR but was stolen and they took the wiring harness, engine, trans, cooling system.
so now im switching to carb on my ford 460 big block. the fuel system was already upgraded with a walbro 255lph high pressure pump, and the lines are 3/8" pressure and return line. I will be running a EFI friendly bypass style fuel pressure regulator from professional products which allows me to keep the stock EFI pump but run carb like pressures of 4.5-9psi.
my question is will I need the racetronix "hotwire" wire harness to increase the voltage at the pump for increased fuel? the ford 460 should be making 550-630hp and equal if not more tq. Im just wondering if the walbro fuel pump will flow enough at the 4.5-9psi carb pressure range to feed the 550-630hp BBF will make. if not will the racetronix kit help?
