i am confused as to what is causing this. ok, i have an 86 camaro with the borg warner 5 speed. when i am going down the road and push in the clutch to shift, the motor revs up until i put it in the next gear. it doesnt do it when i am downshifting unless im on the gas prior to downshifting. i have tried to take my foot off the gas for a second or two before i shift up to the next gear and it still revs up. it dont rev up a whole lot but enough to get noticed. id say it revs up an additional 1000 to 2000 after i push the clutch in.

 

anyone have any ideas?
