Your not far from me, but I HIGHLY doubt your going to get 375 hp out of that motor with just heads and a hot cam.

Re: 375hp 305 build

What do those heads cc at after milled 30?
Bigger cam- more hp?!? Maybe, maybe not
More hp- faster car?!? Maybe, maybe not

Good luck though I'm definitely rooting for you. You gonna dyno it when your done?
Edit just read the article. Use a 87+ 305 and a roller cam. It'll also have a little better cr prolly around 9:1 if that was computer friendly prolly make 325 plus which would be pretty dam respectable from something that would look stock and pass inspection to boot(in an LG4 car) with hooker 2055Rs

im gonna have flat tops=more compression step up over 268 cam xe 274 and compression should be between 9.5-10. heads will be 60 cc after a .030 mill on the vortecs.

Wrong. As much as the Vortec heads are advertised as 64cc, the fact is, they're closer to 61 cc. Lots of them do check in at 62cc. So with a 0.030" cut, you'll have more like 57 cc.
Ussing the SpeedPro H534CP60 pistons would be wise, but so would sticking them in an '87-up block, and using Lunati's 54743LUN cam. combine that with some porting in the Vortec exhaust ports, as shown in this thread: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/engi...c-heads-2.html then use these valves: http://www.competitionproducts.com/S...ductinfo/8430/ and you can expect just as much peak HP as what you've tyuped, but much more average power, and a lot more torque in the mid-range. Assuming the RPM AirGap and Hedman 1.625" long-tubes.

Re: 375hp 305 build

Roller cam was the other reason I said to use the 87+ get that power to the ground, should be a chore with the t5 but a fun chore! Slicks would be my next investment after the engines done
