Pro Magnum rocker noise

Hey guys, I had a couple threads about pushrod length and piston to valve clearance. But i finally got everything together and started her up today. I used my ALDL to monitor knock and advanced to 8 degrees base timing. Now I was wondering if anyone could listen to my video(sorry about the quality) and tell me if they think the clacky clicky noise is just the rockers or if they think it might be piston to valve clearance issues(i pray it's not).

I adjusted the rockers to proper preload around the base circle like comp cams says, but people always tell me to adjust them hot...which i haven't done yet...and that might get rid of the noise. Here is the vid, tell me what you make of the noise:

So far it idles well @ 700rpm and pulls great vacuum. My build is an LO5 350 motor with stock flat-top pistons, comp XFI268 cam with 1.6 Pro Magnum rockers, AFR 195 heads, and hardened pushrods, keeping the stock TPI for now... Sounds mean so far except for that noise.

Re: Pro Magnum rocker noise

adjusting the rockers hot is for solids, not hydraulics. If you did it correctly, then the noise should be something else.

Yea that's what i figured as well since I followed the procedure to set them cold. Just for kicks i did a couple of them warm yesterday and didn't notice any change...I wonder if the sound is the P2V clearance that i was worried about before. Would it be a good idea to swap some 1.5 rockers on which will take some lift out of the valves, allowing me to hear any change in clearance?

If your 1.5:1 rockers have long enough slots, it sure couldn't hurt anything. I'd try that.
