Rearend leak

Rearend leak

hey can someone tell me what this is, and how to stop from leaking, i must have hit it while putting it in the back of my truck and fluid is now leaking out of it..its a ls1 rear. sorry for the huge picture...

That vent is supposed to be on top, on the passenger side, pointing up. If it isn't, you did something seriously wrong.

LOL, ok then thats why it leaking... its not installed yet is just sitting in the back of my truck...

okay, that's cool. If you're careful how you remove it, that's a good place to add new fluid.
