these are on craigslist and was wondering how much i should offer him. whats a good starting price and whats the most i should pay? and will these work good with a edelbrock performer rpm cam?
i got flat top pistons, how much compression should i expect?

Since you can pick up a set for around $350.00 each for new Iron ones from Scoggin Dicky. The ones they have modded for .600 lift springs run $430.00 each. I hope that helps to give you a starting point since they also offer a limited warranty with them. The vortecs will not work with a Performer RPM intake, you will need to get the Edelbrock Vortec intake equivilent...I think it's called the E-tech or something like that. However, it should work with the cam just fine.

I think if you get both for $400, it's a steal. If it's $400 each, then it's equal price compared to new with the same work done.
