Codes with paperclip??

I had a post last night about my 1986 Trans Am and I was told to get the codes off the car with a paperclip...Since it was dark last night I could not see where the A and B plug in was located...I was told to look on the right side of the steer wheel paralell to the hot/cold I still can not locate can someone help me with more info or a diagram of what I am looking for so that I can figure out what is wrong with my car. Thanks
