Timing set to 0 degrees?

Does this sound right? My 350 TPI timing is set to 0 degrees? I never checked it since I bought the car.LOL I always thought that 6 degrees was stock timing. I did disconnect my est connector too when i checked it. Now, I want to advance the timing, that is what I am thinking about doing. Also, my car has a hypertech thermomaster ,which I know have a bunch of advance in them! and my car does not have a knock sensor anymore. So take this into consideration too. Some input would be appreciated. Later

Base timing on a 350 TPI should be 6 degree with the EST disconnected.

Do you think my car is set to 0 because the guy i bought it from was using 87 octane? I wonder if it will ping at 6? because of the hypertech chip?
