pinging between 3500 & 4500

Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: GU5 323
pinging between 3500 & 4500
My 86 Iroc pings on wot in the power band of 3500-4500. I run 93 octane all the time. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful.
