Fuel Sending unit question

Is the fuel pump and fuel sending unit plugged together inside the fuel tank? OR does the weatherpack plug that goes to the fuel pump have the fuel sending wire on it. and if so,,, what color should it be...

Re: Fuel Sending unit question

there is purple for the gas guage level sensor, black is ground, and i want to say it's green/white stripe for the fuel pump 12v.

Weather pack comes from body to sending unit (not removable), and goes inside to the level sensor and FP, and they share a ground.
