I just bought my 1992 camaro 5.0L 305 tbi and it has more wrong then i know what to do with and am looking for some pointers. the wiring has been hacked to pieces and put back together in all sort of funky. my instrument cluster doesn't work and by the looks of it its been replaced due to the fact the cluster is stamped "1990 camaro". and currently when i press the gas the car bogs down then reluctantly revs up. i have replaced the fuel filter but it ran out of gas so i was thinking all the crap in the bottom of the tank ended up in the filter when i filled it up and started it. i have replaced the spark plugs and wires. the bogging problem just started after i filled it back up with gas and everything. i was thinking of going to a junk yard and pulling all the wiring harnesses to start. it is reluctant to start when cold and will run the battery dead trying to start it hot. i timed the engine and everything so its not that and the starter is shimmed properly. that pretty much covers all for now if you have any advice to any of these problems just let me know and ill try it. I'm not new to working on cars i do it as a side job actually. its just i have no history on this car at all and I'm new to the third gen camaro so don't worry about pointing out difficult fixes cause i can do it all and if i have to IL pull it out and rebuild it. I'm just not ready to do that right now I'm just trying to get it to square 1 first.
