How not to keep your rocker arm nuts from getting loose

I have seen many really stupid thing done to cars as has many of you. But I never recal seeing the rocker nuts welded to the studs berfore.
Here I was just starting to replace the valve seals to stop the smoking when out of the blue WHAM a kick in the ....well you know.
Here is a photo of what I ran right into. Who ever worked on this before I got it was a TOTAL IDIOT, this guy desided to weld all 16 of them to the studs. And by weld I mean to the point I have no other opition but to pull them off. I am sorry the photo is a little blurry, but you will get the point.
Oh well I was thinking of getting a new set of heads, I might as well do that now, no telling what other damage I will see.

I think I got luck on this one. The nuts are coming off, And the camaro club I am in one of the other members just gave me a set of later model 350 heads. All I have to do is go get them, they are very low milage so as long as the center intake bolts arent canted I will use them, if not I have a core to use.
