Can someone tell me what kind of pistons these are?

So i bought an engine on craigslist, never been ran, boared .040 over, cammed, intake, headers, etc. What kind of pistons are these? Brand? Cast/Hyper/Forged? Any idea what kind of compression ratio i should have with these and stock 882 heads?

Re: Can someone tell me what kind of pistons these are?

They are cast. Can't tell from a crappy cell phone pic if the material they're cast from was hypereutectic or not; they could be cast from that, or from regular el cheeepo rebuildium. Most likely the latter as they don't like like any of the more common hypers, and there's about a billion brands of the chinesium ones out there.

Why do you want to know? That it, what would you do with that information, if it was suddenly revealed to you? Maybe there's another way of making some decision you're struggling with, without having to directly answer that particlular question?

The compression, assuming a 4.04" bore, 3.48" stroke, 76cc chambers, .045" deck clearance, .039" gasket, and 8cc valve reliefs, is just under 8.2:1.

So yeah... probably, as you said, over cammed.
