Re: Smoke machine to find vacuum leaks

I've used a ciggarette before, kinda hard to spot it tho lol I don't see why you'd wanna build a smoke machine, you could just spray some ether around the suspected areas and listen for a change in idle, if you want a cheap route for the smoke thing id find some clove cigs and use those lol just light it and put it up to the booster line, the smokes thicker IIRC I'm a fan of the ether tho, cleans the motor off in the process lol

This is true, but there are problematic spots on our car that where I start normally, I'm not sure how to power a plug but I'm thinking you should use a 12V battery, I know they heat when a current is run thru them like a fillament on a light bulb

Re: Smoke machine to find vacuum leaks

Id say check your tps and iac, reset them along with the min air, also look into greasing the tb and the pedal, my tbi was doing something similar but once I kicked the gas it would loosen up, and go down. I bet once you reset the tps iac and min air it should be good, don't forget to clean the iac while you're at it
