broken exhaust stud

i had a bolt break off when removing the exhaust from the manifold. i cant really get a drill into it. and was wondering what the best way to get it out would be? i dont really want to remove the exhaust manifold if i dont have to to risk another broken bolt in the motor

Re: broken exhaust stud

JMO on this find someone to hit the thing with a torch. The bolt is an alloy steel and will melt way sooner than the cast iron it's in. After that get another bolt anti-size em and call it a day.

That's about all you can do unless you replace the manifold.
