A couple quick things. Help Please?
A couple quick things. Help Please?
Hey all! First off, while looking over my engine today, I discovered that in the front of my TBI unit, there is a vacuum port that isn't spoken for. This is great because the vehicle has been acting funny for a while and now I know. Only problem is that I have no idea what goes in this one. I do know that the other three there (The one to the EGR, the one to the Cylinder, and PCV valve) are all there. Any help with the unspoken one at all? Pics would be helpful also.
Also, Since I've gotten the car, the temperature gauge has read 100 and I assumed it was because the wire was not conected to the sender in the head, and I was right. Only problem is, the wire has vanished. I do not see any place where that wire could have been fed from or to. Any help in that area as well? Thanks
I should have said from the get-go that it is a 91 bird 305 TBI.

temp sender wire will come out of main harness that runs from driver firewall to pass firewall - it'll come out where this harness goes over the bellhousing (back of motor) - it's a single green wire - should run over the intake driver side.
The vacuum port - until you figure it out, cap it off.
Been awhile since I seen a TBI - can you snap a pic of it?

Quite embarrassing...I just realized that it was the vacuum line to stock air cleaner system. The original system was removed and exchanged for an open element before I bought the car so I never thought to check. How would propose I plug the port?

Put a cap on it - any auto parts store sells vacuum port caps - a small box with various sizes about $4.
