v6 and v8 fuel pumps are they different?
I have been searching and it seems that the MPFI and TPI are the same but parts stores list the V8 TPI fuel pump much cheaper. Both cars seem to want about 40 or so psi. I would suspect that the v8 would need to flow more. One thread said that the V6 MPFI required higher pressure. Does anybody have the specs on the pumps? My pump and sending unit are both bad (Broken steel line at the unit) and 9 psi pressure. I am getting a sending unit and pump from a running V8 TPI car. Will the pump work or do I still need to buy another pump? I have the 3.1 V6 in my 91.

the pump will work no problem i actually ran a tpi engine off of a v6 pump no issues both cars have fuel pressure regulaters anyways so if one pump was slightly higher psi it wont matter
