MY 1991 Firebird took a crap about a month ago.
My beloved firebird ran perfect for 3 years and I went somewhere shut it off and it wouldnt start again. It has full power but when you turn it over it does abosoluely nothing. Silence..... Took starter off and tested it twice, it was fine. Someone said the chip in the key might be bad but tried both keys. Im at a loss and dont know what to do or check next.
Any idea would be greatly appreciated. Need to get back behind the wheel
Thanks, cheryl

This happened to my girlfriends 91 camaro. The fix was easy. Just measure the resistance on the chip in the key, go to radio shack and buy a resistor with the same resistance. Plug it into the connector under the column.
