Help Me Please!
Hi i own a 1989 firebird formula and i live in one of the 7 counties in ohio with manditory Echecks. I recentlly found out that i have a knock in my engine and the previous owner ajusted the distributer cap to hide the sound. I have till the 26th to pass echeck or my plates are useless and i cannot drive. My first test both hydrocarbon and NOX were slightly too high. we got an oil change, added an achohol additive and retuned the distributer cap to normal function. I took it again hydrocarbon passed but NOX went 2x legal limit. Any suggestions on ways to "squeak" by this check will be increadibly helpful.

Make sure you’re not running lean, and that the EGR is operating properly.
