92 GTA Fuel pump

I've done swaps on my 4th gens and I'll be picking up this GTA soon and I wonder if I MUST drop the tank? I didn't have to with my 4th gen. I understand the hardlines are an issue so I'd have to drop it...

Yes. The only way around dropping the tank is if you want to cut a fairly large access panel in the rear floor.

Just drop it.

Re: 92 GTA Fuel pump

Well on my 408 TA I did cut a hole. All my exh is welded up and I couldn't drop the tank. I made a nice patch panel, sealed it and rivets. All under the carpet. I understand the hole has to be much larger due to the hard lines. However if the exh isnt welded on then I will drop the tank...

Lol I had to do it. Seen it all over the place on the boards. If you do it right, and are able to seal it back up correctly, heck even make a door out of it, then I'm all for it. But not when it looks like this.

What the PO did to my GTA.

I have seen some access doors that came out pretty nice.
